Our current global crisis has seen untold environmental benefits and reduction in carbon footprints. The general population is seeing great changes in our countryside and oceans since the start of this pandemic. To the extent that there is a change in the attitude of how consumers view END OF LIFE for many of their much-loved consumer products.
Can it be recycled? How can it be recycled? It’s all about the CIRCULAR ECONOMY!
Retailers are focused on POS displays that do not have elements that will contaminate the recycling stream. FMCG companies like Unilever and Procter & Gamble are moving towards refillable containers to reduce post-consumer plastic waste.
Mobile phone re-sellers collect your old mobile phones etc.
Now we are starting to see some very clever innovations around post-consumer waste.
A new example is, we are partnering with waste management companies to include clever consumer incentives to collect, recycle and dispose of post-consumer products that would otherwise end up in household garbage and landfill.
These initiatives are consumer-based promotion to incentivise consumers to be environmentally responsible by providing the consumer with a clear benefit and avenue of retail-based collection points and a disposal route while incentivising this environmentally positive approach through a new product replacement purchase promotional code for doing the right thing.
